The Department of Defense has identified 3,524 American service members who have died since the start of the Iraq war. It confirmed the deaths of the following Americans yesterday:

ELAZZOUZI, Farid, 26, Specialist, Army; Paterson, N.J.; 25th Infantry Division.

LINDER, Darryl W., 23, Specialist, Army; Hickory, N.C.; First Cavalry Division.

PARKER, Richard K., 26, Sgt., Army National Guard; First Battalion, 152nd Field Artillery.

PARKS, Larry Jr., 24, Pfc., Army; Altoona, Pa.; Third Infantry Division.

ROBERTS, Derek T., 24, Sgt., Army; Gold River, Calif.; 25th Infantry Division.

SNELL, Eric L., 35, Sgt., Army; Trenton; Second Infantry Division.
